Shopify SEO Audit — Product Link Evidence

SITE AUDIT · PRODUCT ROUTES & COLLECTION CONTEXT

See how your page links to products.

Review observed direct and collection-context product links, variant parameter names and source canonical declarations. See exactly which route patterns need merchant review.

Free · no API keyOne public pageNo invented SEO score

This is source-link evidence, not verified Shopify detection, duplicate content or variant inventory. Linked destinations are not requested, and legitimate collection and variant URLs are not automatic SEO defects.

Choose a public product or collection page

Your URL is sent for a robots-aware, bounded public request. No product-link destination, query URL, cart, account, API or asset is fetched. This module does not save raw HTML or report history; ordinary infrastructure and requested websites may log requests. Shared verification and completed-check limits apply.

Human verification code
The code expires after ten minutes and works once.

Understand observed links without crawling every variation

The checker reads robots instructions and one bounded initial HTML response. It retains eligible same-origin product and collection anchors and groups product links only when their origin, exact supported locale prefix and product-handle syntax match. Groups contain observed links, never a generated or predicted counterpart URL.

Route syntax is not product identity

Direct product links and collection-context product links may serve a useful purpose. A mixed group means both route shapes were observed, not that the tool verified identical content, product identity, collection membership or an indexing problem. Different supported locale prefixes stay separate. Unsupported custom or localized routes remain unknown.

Respect legitimate variant links

The supported variant and option_values parameter names are reported with values removed. Counts describe link occurrences, not unique variants or inventory. The tool does not run selectors or inspect rendered changes to price, images, availability or cart behavior. Do not strip all parameters or redirect variants simply to improve an audit result.

Review source canonical evidence in context

The existing Site Audit canonical observer reviews the same fetched HTML and supported headers. No canonical destination is requested. Query-redacted projections cannot be compared as exact identities. Use authorized store settings and search evidence to investigate an unexpected declaration; no setting is changed by this report.

For generic Product, Offer and ProductGroup JSON-LD declarations, filter-link patterns and pagination markup, use the existing Ecommerce SEO Audit. This Shopify-focused workflow adds route relationships instead of repeating those panels.

Coverage and evidence snapshots

Recognized hidden and inert subtrees are excluded, but target JavaScript and rendered visibility are not evaluated. Private apps, themes, store settings, live inventory and Google indexing remain outside scope. Parser and collection limits are disclosed. When enabled, JSON preserves the complete report and CSV includes every field path, source reference and owner-review prompt. Reports are held only in this browser page until reset or navigation.

Frequently asked questions

Does this prove a website uses Shopify?

No. Product and collection URL shapes can be copied or customized. This tool reports supported source-declared routes, not a verified platform, app or theme inventory. Unknown or unobserved routes are not a negative Shopify verdict.

Does a mixed product-route group prove duplicate content?

No. It means the source contains direct and collection-context links with the same origin, exact locale prefix and product-handle pattern. The destinations were not fetched, and matching route syntax does not establish identical content or collection membership.

Are variant and option-value links SEO errors?

Not by themselves. Shopify supports variant and option_values deep links. This report records the supported parameter names but removes their values. It does not verify selection behavior, availability or variant inventory, and does not recommend blanket redirects or query removal.

Does this verify canonical targets or Google indexing?

No. The existing Site Audit observer reads canonical and noindex declarations from the same source response. No canonical destination is requested, no Google-selected canonical is known, and query-redacted URLs are not exact identity comparisons.

Do I need an API, and are product links crawled?

No paid API is needed. One public page and robots instructions are requested within fixed limits. Product links, query URLs, carts, accounts, APIs and assets are not fetched. JSON and CSV preserve the bounded evidence report when downloads are enabled.
