OWNER-CONNECTED · READ-ONLY
Google Tag Manager Audit Tool
Review your own GTM web workspace tags, triggers, variables and folders. The report keeps coverage and runtime limits visible.
Google connection: setup required
The page is public, but automatic audits are not connected yet. The administrator must configure the free GTM API and OAuth client. Visitors connect their own Google account.
Scope and limits
This tool reads the selected web-container workspace only. It does not prove that tags execute, consent mode works, a conversion was measured, or that the workspace equals the published version. Unavailable or incomplete evidence is never presented as zero.
Questions
Can I audit a competitor?
No. Sign in to this website and connect a Google account that can access the selected GTM account. Your connection is not shared with other visitors.
What setup is required?
Enable the free Google Tag Manager API and configure a web OAuth client with tagmanager.readonly. No paid connector is required. Each visitor grants access to their own account.
What does this version inspect?
Only web containers: the selected workspace metadata and first provider page of tags, triggers, variables and folders, capped at the administrator row limit (10–500 per type). Incomplete or unavailable evidence is labeled; it is not zero or a pass.
Does it prove tracking or consent works?
No. This is configuration evidence, not a runtime audit or certification. The workspace can differ from the published version. Tag execution, consent, duplicate firing and conversion correctness need separate controlled browser testing.
What is stored?
A short-lived access token is encrypted and bound to your website user and login session for up to one hour. No refresh token or report history is saved. Disconnect removes this local connection; revoke the Google grant separately in your Google Account.
Are custom HTML and private parameters exposed?
Provider code and parameters are removed before a report is produced. The tool does not display or execute code. Names and IDs can still be sensitive, so review downloads before sharing. Trigger-reference coverage is labeled when capped.
Does this change GTM?
No. Only read-only GET requests retrieve GTM configuration. No tags are executed, events sent, settings changed, containers published or background checks scheduled.
