WordPress SEO Audit — Public Evidence
Understand what your public page declares.
Review tentative WordPress signals, source-declared template clues and discovery links alongside canonical and noindex evidence. Turn this bounded sample into an informed owner review.
A WordPress publishing review, not a private configuration audit
The checker reads robots instructions and one bounded initial HTML response. It retains supported head discovery links, normalized WordPress markers and a small allowlist of body-class context clues. The existing Site Audit canonical parser reviews the same response for canonical and noindex declarations. No destination URL is requested to verify these declarations.
Understand tentative observations
Generator text and resource paths can be edited, copied or cached. Context classes describe source markup, not page quality or duplicate content. Not observed does not mean not WordPress. Recognized hidden and inert subtrees are excluded, but the checker does not execute JavaScript or calculate rendered visibility.
Keep owner decisions contextual
Compare declarations with the intended purpose of this specific page. If a restriction or canonical appears unexpected, inspect the responsible configuration and rendered page with authorized owner access. Do not globally remove feeds, REST discovery, archives, authors or attachment pages based on this report. The checker does not change settings.
Know what remains outside the report
Private Reading settings, database state, installed plugins, themes, software versions, vulnerability status, analytics and Google indexing are not available to this public sample. Parser, body and request limits are disclosed; partial or unavailable evidence is neither a pass nor a failure.
Save an evidence snapshot
When enabled, JSON preserves the full structured report and CSV includes every field path, declaration, owner-review prompt and coverage limit. Declaration URLs are inert text with query strings and fragments removed where applicable. Reports remain in this browser page until reset or navigation; this module does not store report history.
Frequently asked questions
Does this prove a website uses WordPress?
No. WordPress generator text, discovery links, resource paths and allowed body classes are editable source declarations. They can be absent, copied or cached. Not observed is not the same as not WordPress.
Does this inspect my WordPress settings or plugins?
No. It reads one public initial HTML response and robots instructions. It cannot inspect the dashboard, Reading settings, database, installed plugins, theme configuration or software versions.
Are feeds, REST discovery and archive pages SEO problems?
Not by themselves. These are normal publishing features. The report asks the owner to review their intended purpose; it does not recommend globally removing feeds, APIs, archives, authors or attachment pages.
Are canonical and noindex declarations Google verdicts?
No. The checker reuses the Site Audit declaration parser on the same response. A declared canonical or noindex directive does not establish Google indexing, selected canonical, ranking or the right setting for your page.
Does this require an API or crawl linked destinations?
No paid API is required. Linked API, feed, RSD, oEmbed, shortlink and canonical destinations are not requested. No target JavaScript or private endpoints are used. Downloaded reports describe this bounded public sample only.
