Thin Content Checker

Review content in context—not by word count alone.

Sample public pages, see repeated text units and inspect the remaining wording. Use the inventory to guide an editorial review, not an automatic quality verdict.

Short does not mean low-quality

A tool, contact page, product or media page can be useful with little text. Google has no preferred word count. This checks English or undeclared-language initial HTML, not rendered usefulness, Google rankings or web-wide originality.

Human verification code
The code expires after ten minutes and works once.

Submitting requests a bounded public sample. Do not enter private URLs. Reports and optional owner annotations are not persisted by this tool; downloads are created in your browser. Hosting, security and CDN logging policies apply separately.

Three wording categories, no quality score

Repeated long units match a full extracted unit on another eligible sampled page. Not-matched long units did not match elsewhere in this sample. Short units have fewer than twelve words and are excluded from repetition matching.

Units are extracted lines, not guaranteed paragraphs. Markup layout and line breaks affect the result. Repeated text can be intentional; not-matched text is not proven original or valuable. Truncated and oversized sources remain unknown rather than being called thin.

Optional page-purpose, decision and note fields are your annotations. They are separate from automatic evidence and do not save or change your website.

Questions and limitations

Does short content mean poor quality?

No. Google has no preferred word count. A concise tool, contact page, product or media page may fully satisfy its purpose. This checker provides sampled wording evidence and adjustable review filters, not a quality or penalty score.

What do repeated and not-matched units mean?

A repeated unit is a whole extracted line of at least twelve normalized words found on another eligible sampled page. Not matched means only that this exact unit was not found in this sample. Neither category proves usefulness, originality or content theft; shared notices and instructions may be intentional.

How does this differ from the other content tools?

This is a page inventory with exact repeated-unit groups, word partitions and optional owner review notes. Duplicate and Consolidation tools provide pairwise overlap evidence. Site Risk has its own page-level indicators. Those tools and scores are not changed.

What is excluded or unknown?

Only initial HTML is sampled. The selected main, article or body region and extracted line boundaries depend on markup. Failed, truncated, unsupported-language or oversized pages remain unknown. JavaScript, media value, reader intent, canonical choice and private performance are not assessed.

Do I need an API, and can it change my site?

No paid API is needed, and no content, redirect or noindex changes are made. Reports and optional owner notes stay in this browser session unless downloaded; the tool does not persist them. Hosting and security logs have separate policies.
